Honor Roll!

Guess what? *HUGE SMILE*

The oldest made honor roll and I am to be her plus one to the continental breakfast and awards ceremony.

She gave me the card saying she had made honors last week right before my Brownie meeting. It took my all not to cry in front of all those girls and make a scene.  (Boy am I becoming a crybaby in my old age. lol)

The oldest is so proud and I told her I was so proud of her too!  Honor roll... this from the girl who insisted she didn't care and just wanted to be ghetto her whole life.

I like to think I had a part in it (the honors thing not the ghetto thing). LOL!

WHOO HOO!!! I am going to be the loudest parent there! Wait! I am always the loudest parent there already... hmmm.... I know...I need to practice deep breaths and pinching myself so I won't make a scene by crying at the ceremony. I mean how mortifying would that be for her?  It would be a replay of 5th grade graduation where I made her cry too!  Ok, so how do you all keep yourself from crying or do you just go with the flow?

I always swore I was heartless and made of stone until I went to Tara's first Christmas concert. All the kids in her entire school lined the aisles and sang some sweet song. I bawled like a baby. It was the prettiest thing I ever heard. I don't do that very often, but there are some moments where my blood thaws and a tear wets me eye :)

I am so happy for you and your oldest! That is a huge accomplishment!!

Congrats T!

and I cry when I take Liam to the playground... I don't know what's wrong with me.
You should have seen me bawling when I toured a preschool and saw the pledge of allegiance on the wall and cubbies with kids names on them... I started sobbing and saying "He's going to grow up and belong to other people for most of the day!"
